REGISTRATION, ELIGIBILITY, AND DISQUALIFICATION POLICIES BY CATEGORY 1. Registration by Official Ranking Players must register in the category corresponding to their score within the Venezuela Padel Tour (VPT) Ranking. Only those players who formally request a category change from the organization and whose request has been duly approved are exempt from this provision. 2. Regulations for Players from Other Racket Sports These regulations apply exclusively to players who do not have points within the Venezuela Padel Tour (VPT) ranking. a. Tennis: • Players in the 2nd category may not register in a category lower than the 2nd category in padel. • Players in the 3rd category may not register in a category lower than the 3rd category in padel. • Players in the 4th category may not register in a category lower than the 4th category in padel. • Players in the 5th category may not register in a category lower than the 5th category in padel. b. Beach Tennis: • Players in the 2nd category may not register in a category lower than the 2nd category in padel. • Players in the 3rd category may not register in a category lower than the 3rd category in padel. • Players in the 4th category may not register in a category lower than the 4th category in padel. • Players in the 5th category may not register in a category lower than the 5th category in padel. 3. Restriction of Initiation Categories No player with a sporting background in racket sports, such as tennis or beach tennis, may participate in the initiation categories of the Venezuela Padel Tour (VPT). 4. Participation in Multiple Categories Players will be allowed to compete in a maximum of two (2) categories within the tournament. However, the second category in which the player registers must be higher than the category corresponding to their current official ranking. Ranking points earned will only be awarded in the category in which the pair achieves their best performance within the draw. Consequently, no points will be awarded for the category in which the pair is eliminated in a previous round. Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualification, at the discretion of the organizers.
